Wine has been at the top of Peter's food pyramid
for many years, from making wine with his family as a kid growing
up in Brooklyn to traveling and tasting extensively through the
wine regions of France, Italy and the U.S.
Peter believes that good wine together with good food is a large
element in creating "the good life". He has read many
books in the large wine library collected by his wife Pamela Burrell
who also works at Sparrow and is more knowledgeable than he (although
he takes credit for introducing her to wine many years ago).
When asked for help selecting a wine the first thing he will ask
is what you're drinking it with. He believes that wine is not complicated
and that there is only one thing you really need to know and that
is whether you like a particular wine or not.
